One of the hardest parts of journaling, especially in the beginning, is just remembering to do it. No matter how highly we prioritize writing in a journal, there will always be something more important such as family or work.
A simple tip that can turn a hope into a habit is creating reminders and all you need is your cell phone. Go into the calendar and create a new event. Call it “Write in Journal”, or something like that and set it to repeat daily. Set the time at the most likely time that you will have a few minutes (probably night or morning) and make sure to turn the alarm on. Then, each day you will get a pesky reminder to just jot down a few thoughts on the day.
Just don’t blame me when you throw your phone through the window.
