My name is Sam.
I am a husband, dad and aspiring civil engineer. I love playing basketball and hockey, bicycling, writing and gadgets. Oh, and I am an avid journaler.
I don’t know if there is a typical stereotype of a journaler, but I doubt the love of hockey and journal show up in the same bio too often. I say all of this because I believe there is a ton of us out there that believe in recording our life history but don’t have the time to journal in the way the gurus preach you should. I believe that journal and diary keeping is as important for the busy professionals, students and parents as it is the small children or retired grandparent. I believe that it is possible to journal as frequently as you want and still live a normal life.
How is this possible? Well, through tricks of the trade and through technology, of course. I am not an expert, but I have made it a priority to keep a faithful journal for most of my life. I have varied between years when I would hand write a page a day and years where I would text a sentence every week. In the process I have learned that there are some amazing solutions out there and that some are better than others. I started EasyJournaling so that I could bring the solutions I have discovered to the masses and also congregate the best resources, products and minds into one place as well. I want to inspire you to journal and to show you how to make it possible in YOUR life.
I was also an iPhone app reviewer for AppAdvice.com for quite a while, so I have learned much about the industry and hope to bring some of that mobile knowledge along with me.
And though EasyJournaling focuses on new technolgy and digital solutions, we also harbor a love for classic journaling with pen and paper- the same method that has been around since nearly the dawn of humanity.
So make yourself at home whether you are a pro or a first-timer. Feel free to browse the Tips, App Reviews, Nuts and Bolts and whatever else looks interesting. Add your own insights and tips that have helped you make journal writing a reality. Also check out some of our friends and partners who have made amazing advances in the somewhat neglected field of journaling.
